cookware

July 21st, 2009

Growing up, I always loved my mom’s cooking. I would spend countless hours just watching her cook. When I was into my teens, I would cook with her. She would show me how to use the different cookware she had. She would explain to me patiently what each pan was for and how to take care of them so they would last long. From her I learned the joys of cooking.

Now that I have my family of my own, I cooked lovingly for my family. I invested in my cookware, I wanted my cookware to bring out the best flavors out of my food. When I first got married my cookware set was not ideal. The Teflon from my pans quickly peeled off. After a year some of the handles of my pots and pans were getting loose. Slowly, I began to build my cookware set. I started with one expensive premium stainless steel pan that would not dent when you drop it. Now my collection is top notch and will, more likely, last a lifetime. Hopefully my kids would inherit my cookware as well as my love for cooking.
