covered pasta pan
November 2nd, 2009
I love Italian food. I can’t seem to get enough of pasta and pizza. At a recent event, the head of a catering company gave me a crash course in pasta making. I expected it to be tricky but I was surprised to learn that it wasn’t that hard at all. She said I needed a covered pasta pan and a sauce pan. The rest I could look for in cookbooks.
A covered pasta pan is needed when cooking pasta. This is the most basic equipment you will need. You just drop in your pasta in boiling water then cover the pan and cook the pasta. Pasta is considered cooked when it is al dente. Al dente means that it is firm, not soggy and not too hard either. After you cook the pasta you simply add your sauce.
