frying pans

February 2nd, 2010

There are different methods of cooking: steaming, boiling, broiling, grilling and frying. We use different utensil for each method. Frying, searing and browning of foods are processed in frying pans. These pans have flat base and low sides. Their size ranges from 8 to 12 inches in diameter.

Frying pans can be made of aluminum, copper, stainless steel or clad stainless steel with aluminum core. Traditionally, they were made of cast iron. As far as durability and heat conduction, pans that are made of aluminum and stainless steel are considered to be the best. They can also be cleaned and maintained easily.
