Use the right cookware when creating your best dishes. One very versatile and basic cooking utensil is the saucepan. It is round shaped, has a relatively long handle and a tight-fitting cover. Its sides can be straight, flared and deep or as shallow as 3 inches. They are made from various materials that range from aluminum, ceramic and cast iron to copper, glass and stainless steel.
