Trying It Out

I have to admit that I am one of those people who would not know a thing about the kitchen. I am a very bad cook, so much so that I can’t even cook an egg. My health has deteriorated because of this, since I would normally buy take-out food on a daily basis.

I decided to change all this and enrolled in basic cooking classes. I managed to gain more confidence in the kitchen and my instructor taught me not to be afraid. In time I was whipping up dishes which I thought only experts would be able to pull off. I even started investing on waterless stainless cookware and other utensils for my kitchen. In time, I can get myself to be a great cook and find myself a great husband to cook for!

Moving Out

My daughter has finally decided to rent out a small apartment in the city rather than having to commute for a few hours to get home. I would need to accept the fact that she is indeed growing up and would want a certain sense of independence at her age. While I am really happy for her accomplishments, I tend to be a bit heartbroken with having to be alone in the house now.

I sent her off with some new stainless steel cookware since I know that she would need to have something she can use to cook. She would need to take a while before she can settle in, so at least she has the utensils and items she can use to prepare something she can eat. This gives me the assurance that she can take care of herself and her health without any worries.

Little Time

I had just arrived the country after a week-long convention. My husband had reminded me about my son’s birthday the following week, and I was really guilty about it because I completely forgot about it. I was really busy these past couple of months at work that I hardly even have the time to check on things at home. For a mother, this is definitely a wake-up call and realized that my priorities are really screwed up.

I immediately went to work and decided that I would personally take care of the whole thing. My husband was kind enough to offer his assistance should I need help with anything at all. The first thing I needed to think about was the theme. Since my kid loves cars, I immediately bought all the party supplies I need online. I also managed to get a great idea for birthday cake cupcakes with car designs to complement the theme. Now all I need to do is to fix the menu and to invite all his friends. Hopefully I get to pull it off perfectly.

Plenty of Visitors

In my home, there would usually be a number of friends or family coming over for help or any assistance. As an active member of our church, I am one of the volunteers in the community and tend to extend my hand to any who may need any kind of help. For a single woman like me, I have the capacity to earn a meagre income to be able to share with others.

I would also have a number of people coming over to my home to discuss a few matters regarding the projects we have in church. This is why my stainless steel cookwear are overused with having to prepare a lot of dishes all the time whenever I have company to expect. Since I only have one set of these things around, I might say they have definitely been worth the investment as they have stayed durable and reliable.

Pancake Galore

If there was a pancake monster, I must say that my kids should be earning that title. They definitely cannot get enough of pancakes, and they would always request the same whenever I am around the house. Whenever one of them is sick or would not want to eat the food I have prepared for them, pancakes would easily do the trick.

I always cook my pancakes in my nonstick square griddle. This makes everything so much easier to flip over and cook, since the griddle is entirely flat and the sides do not get in the way whenever I need to turn the pancake. My children would usually sit right out on the kitchen counter once they see me bring out my griddle. They know that it is pancake time when I do so.

Making a Difference

Cooking for my family is one of the greatest pleasures in life for me. I love to cook, and as a full time mom it allows me to show my family how I am concerned about their health and welfare. The highlight of my day would be finishing off all my chores around the home and finally be able to start cooking for dinner. It allows me to get creative and to show my skills in the kitchen.

As I love to experiment with food, I also love to experiment with the cookware I make use of. I have browsed upon this eco friendly cookware on the internet and got intrigued by the concept. I looked into it and did my research, and so far all that I have read about was positive. I ordered the items and was really happy with them. Now I would always cook with these things as they are not only environment friendly, they are non-stick too!

Father’s Day

After being divorced for a few years, my wife and I decided that we would have alternate weeks with the kids so we can spend quality time with them. I would normally have two weeks with them and have the kids move back to their mother after that. This can be quite confusing for some, but we agreed as a family that this was the best setup so we can all work together given the situation.

During those instances when the kids get to stay with me, I would usually have a barbecue during the weekends so I can properly cook and spend time with them. I have unique grills at home which help me show off my wonderful cooking skills. This is my small way of showing them that I truly love them and would be willing to do anything just so I can show them how much I value them.
