glass pitchers

July 15th, 2009

Entertaining a small group of friends for brunch or dinner can be one of the most satisfying things to do. It beats meeting up with them in a restaurant and ordering from boring menus. At home, your friends can be comfortable; conversations are generally more relaxed, and you can all eat without being bothered by pesky waiters in loud surroundings. It is a gratifying feeling to be able to let them try some of your new recipes including a refreshing new concoction that they enthusiastically pour out of glass pitchers. You are elated when they compliment you with how delicious the food tastes and how each dish totally complement each other.

It is in our nature to put too much food on the table. We never learn from catering experts who tell us that a few good dishes that are delicious, well balanced and are a good accompaniment for each other will be more appreciated than having a hodgepodge of dishes that leaves the guests wondering where to begin. Experts would usually plan a menu that will include a couple of pork and beef dishes, a chicken and seafood dish and some vegetables. Individual tastes will be covered by this combination. Cap it with a truly decadent dessert. Nobody will be complaining.
