Pewter collecting is a hobby that has been bringing joy to many collectors. Some of them specialize in amassing large numbers of pewter tankards with various engravings and which are great as gift items to beer drinkers. Some tankards come with a hinged lid while others are designed with glass bottoms.
Clean and care for a pewter tankard well to make it last for years. Maintain its shine and hand wash in warm and soapy water after every use. Quickly rinse it and dry using a soft cloth. Do not put pewter tankards in the dishwasher as this may cause unsightly scratches on the gleaming silver surface.
