Parts of Food Dehydrators

May 3rd, 2010

Nothing beats eating fresh food. It is therefore important to preserve them by prohibiting the growth of organisms that could cause for the food to spoil. Food dehydrators are perfect for preservation. They take the moisture out of the food which can cause the growth of bacteria.

Food dehydrators remove the moisture by applying heat at 140°F. They consist of the following parts:

1) Heating element – responsible for releasing moisture

2) Air Vents – where the moist air comes out

3) Fan – blows moist air through the air vents

4) Food trays – were food are laid
