Vacuum packaging

December 12th, 2008

Preserve the freshness of leftover food or fruits using durable materials. Vacuum packaging is the best way to store your food and prolong its shelf life. It also prevents sauces of foods from dripping out as you stash them in your bag. Vacuum packaging is also best for preserving frozen foods. The ice crystals that form on food destroy the food more rapidly when you defrost them. But if you use vacuum packaging, the food remains frozen without the usual freezer burn.

With vacuum packaging, food is kept fresh two to three times longer than the traditional storing methods. You can also use it to preserve other non-food items like photos and important documents from moisture spoilage. Vacuum packing is also effective in preserving emergency survival kits and keeps them from dehydration.
