One of the best ways to keep ourselves healthy is by eating more vegetables. The best way to eat vegetables is either raw or steamed. You can easily steam your vegetables by using an electric vegetable steamer. There are different brands and sizes of these steamers to fit your needs as well as your budget. Steamed and raw vegetables retain much more of their vitamins and minerals than vegetables that are boiled.

When you boil vegetables, most of these vitamins, minerals and nutrients go into the water which you just throw out after boiling. This is such a waste and you don’t maximize the nutritional value of these vegetables. In this day and age, we should all keep ourselves healthy and the most inexpensive way is to eat more of these steamed vegetables. Encourage your kids to eat more steamed vegetables to keep them healthy as well.
