Impress Your Guests with a Odd-Shaped Cake

It’s the Christmas season and your friends are coming over. It’s been a while since you saw them, and you want to make sure that they have a good time. The decors should be up, the tree well lit, the champagne ready, and the food scrumptious and well prepared. You’ve always thought your bundt cake was a hit, so you take out your bundform pan and start whipping.

Bundform pans are a great way to bake cakes in different and often interesting ridged rings. These pans date back in Germany, when ring-shaped coffee cakes became popular. Today, many varieties of bundform pans are out in the market. Heart-shaped pans are usually used for Valentine’s Day. For football fanatics, a square-shaped football stadium bundform pan is a favorite, with ball-shaped caramel or sugar grass.

Cant Wait to Eat

Learning how to cook is a joy. No other feeling beats smelling perfectly cooked food. For me, the hardest thing to do is to resist eating freshly cooked turkey, roast beef or even breads and cookies on cooling racks. The smell is just overpowering. Actually, the only thing stopping me from attacking the food is if I do, I’ll end up with a burnt tongue.

Cooling racks will cool the food on the outside while still slightly cooking the insides. If for example, you cooked roast beef and you carve it right away, you risk losing all the juice of the meat and drying it up right away. When the meat dries up it becomes tough as nails. Also a cooking rack will help the fat to drip out first before you consume it. It is best to spray your rack with non stick spray so your meat won’t stick to the rack.
